2010 F150 127k miles. 4.6L

Driving to Houston and stopped to get gas in Brookshire. Filled up and truck wouldn't start.

It has the feature that you turn the key to start and let go of the key and it cranks until it starts or somewhere between 5-10 seconds and stops.

It's cranking/turning over fine but won't start. I had it towed to Autonation Ford in Katy and hopefully the service dept gets to it tomorrow morning.

Plugs changed at 100k. No check engine light.

I'm thinking fuel pump. Over $500?

I'll guess MAF sensor is fouled.

I like your guess better than mine from a cost standpoint.

It sucks being 140 miles from home and tools with a broken down truck.

Crankshaft position sensor?

Fuel pump relay "melted". I'll know more when I pick it up Monday.

I've been running around town and it was fixed today but I couldn't pick it up before they closed.

Evidently they have a kit to relocate it.

Sounds cheaper than a new fuel pump.

I did a fuel pump replacement. It isn't too bad. Ran the tank down to a couple of gallons, undid the hoses and straps and lowered it onto my belly.

Pretty easy.

Just pull the bed.

The tank is just a plastic 20 gallon tub. The whole thing probably weighs 30 lbs or less.

The pump in my Sport Trac was in the tank itself
