I'm looking at getting a beater car that will hopefully be relatively trouble free for the next 100k miles or so. Two wildly different options I'm looking at now are a 2013 Mazda 3 with just under 60k miles and a 2009 Lexus RX350 with about 90k miles, similarly priced. From a strictly reliability standpoint over the next 5 years/100k miles or so, which seems like the better option?
