Most of them are rental/lease trucks...with the most clueless of clueless drivers.

Reminds me of my pop's last posting in Illinois, close to Champaign/Urbana where he was testing the brand newly built ER "ambalamps" bays when he sheered the cherries off of a brand new ambalamps. Thye had made the bay several inches too low and even had the foresight to put the drain in each of the bays (for cleaning out the rigs after messy runs) at the highest point on the floor. Of course.

Got to love government ran projects.

I'm sure some dumbass has tried to sue the NS for that or expected them to raise the bridge.

It's tough to tell for sure from the video, but a common way to rehab pavements is to put a two inch thick overlay on the existing pavement surface. 12' -> 11'10" -> 11'8".

Used to be one like that at Ben White and Congress in Austin. It even had a radar array to measure oncoming traffic and set of alarms in the event they were too tall!

Maybe flashing yellow lights that transition to red on disaster detection?

Yellow just means proceed with caution. Solid red means sit there forever.

Used to be a very low railroad overpass in Allen on highway 5. Trucks would get stuck several times a month until they finally demolished it.

That bridge is in NC. The DOT here makes the rest of the horrible NC govt look smart and efficient.

actually, those are all from a beam placed in front of the bridge, not the bridge itself.
