The ESPN crew that called the Astros game Sunday was calling the CWS game last night for Ole Piss and Arky. They were talking about the kid and how good he negotiated it. It took a lot of people to get all that swag for the kid. I think it was the clubhouse manager that got with JV for his autograph. It was funny hearing it from Karl Ravech.

I kind of wish Matijevic would have said "screw you kid, keep the damn ball".
I was in the room here one day... watchin' the Mexican channel on TV. I don't know nothin' about Pele. I'm watchin' what this guy can do with a ball and his feet. Next thing I know, he jumps in the air and flips into a somersault and kicks the ball in - upside down and backwards... the dang (sc) goalie never knew what the hell hit him. Pele gets excited and he rips off his jersey and starts running around the stadium waving it around his head. Everybody's screaming in Spanish. I'

What a kick to the crotch.

I read the bullpen threw 39 pitches in the 9th this evening. 3 were straight strikes to the guy who would strike out in slow pitch softball. The other 36 did not produce a single out.

That's some bad bullpen.
