Food overall is slightly better at Ninfa's, however I prefer the rice at El tiempo. The Tacos Al pastor is hands down the best in Houston. For drinks, the navigation rita at Ninfa's blows all of the el tiempo margaritas out of the water.

If you are specifically going for fajitas, El Tiempo.

I prefer Ninfas overall menu.

Also, not sure if it made the best burger list, but that Ninfas has a great cheeseburger.

Came to post this. The fajita burger is the main reason I go to Ninfa's.

And yet you didn't name any of them. And you just raised the price of fajitas at El Tiempo by 4 or 5x.

The mixed grills are pretty high these days, but the smallest mixed grill should easily feed 3 or 4 adults.

I live in Heights and for a decent fajita at reasonable prices, I like Teotihuacan over on Airline. I go there once or twice a month usually.

Not sure that's accurate. The ET near me wants $46 for 1/2lb fajitas.

Insanity. And they are a pathetic attempt to be anything near as good as Pappasitos, who is also expensive. Perhaps just an issue of my local ET not being up to snuff. Any opinions on the Kingwood location?

That $100 for $75 at Costco is a hack but $100 isn't quite enough for a date night dinner with drinks at ET I'm afraid. They should have made it $125 for $100.

There's 4 pages of other sh*t on the El T menu before fajitas that are also great

I think the enchiladas and various other things kick the piss out of ninfas

Most importantly ET green & red sauce is better (bonus for the habanero sauce)

The El T in Webster was terrible last time we went. Service was awful. Fajitas were not cooked. Wife had to send strawberry margarita back. I tasted it to verify. It was bad. Can't even guess what they did, nor how they can f up that order, but they did. And, the topper was they brought our queso out a few minutes after the fajitas arrived.

This was the location with all the lawsuits and the five year construction.

El T on 290 is sub par, not bad, but nothing compared to the Washington location.

lOoK aT mE, I dOn'T cArE aBoUt MoNeY!

Yes and I'll spend it at Pappasitos on good fajitas. A $100 for $75 deal isn't even enough to make me order those pathetic fajitas.

So it appears there are two decent locations for ET.

I can go to any Pappasitos and get the same meal. It's still expensive but at least my wife and I can both eat on the ~$50 fajita plate.

My point was that pulling an extra $20 out of my wallet to finish paying for flacid fajitas after a $100 gift card couldn't manage it stings a might. I'd take the 20% discount of $125 for $100 because at least after they gave me a terrible meal it wouldn't feel like I had to pay any more for it than I already had.

I'm sorry if a TexMex place in Houston Texas can't manage a decent version of the single most popular dish on the menu, especially when they claim it's a specialty of theirs, why would I trust other plates? Particularly when I can go to umpteen other places and get something consistent?

I'm not gonna seek out the "good locations". I'll just hit my local taqueria or texmex joint for mediocre food and I'll leave with spending less than $20/pp.

Pappasitos is 1lb of beef/chicken mix for ~$42 on Wednesdays now. Had it this week.
