We are building a house and we need to be out of our current house by mid-May. Need somewhere to live for 1-3 months until new house wraps up. Anyone have any great ideas or bits of advice? Need at least 3 bedrooms for family of 4.

Airbnb is probably your best bet. Look for long term discounts like above. If you see something you are interested in on there that doesn't have a discount but is available for your dates, you can message the owner and ask if they would discount for a long term.
