Cactus Cove is $5 on Tuesdays but was sold out at 5:30 when we went recently. Other than that I've only see $9-$10 a lb.

Walking Stick might have been $7 and the extra spicy was good.

most sacks of crawfish will be between 28-35 lbs. Generally around 30 lbs.

I bought 65 lbs (31 and 34 lb bags) of live bugs from L&L Seafood last weekend at $3.89/lb

Was pleasantly surprised at the size for how early it in the season.

We got some from HEB this past weekend and they were all very small. Won't buy anymore small ones.

I've been hitting up the Ranch 99 Market (Asian supermarket) and been getting a few bags of the butter-garlic crawfish from LA Crawfish. They've been large and tasty each time. +/- $8lb which isn't too bad for them being prepared for you.

That's where I got them from last year and was happy with them. Get there early on the weekend or there's a long line.

I called L&L Seafood a few days before and reserved 2 bags. They'll take orders up to about Wed for Sat.

Pulled in Saturday morning, paid, and they loaded me up no problem.

Have you gotten any this year?

I did 70 lbs last weekend and got them from HEB+ at Fry and 99. They were very good sized, but were over $4/lb.

I will need 3-4 sacks for Easter Saturday.

I know everyone loves the Boot but I've never been a fan. They are a little too New Orleans that I feel is too subtle on the seasoning and spice. I want to be punched in the face with heat and salt and sometimes butter and garlic

I have not ordered any this year yet. My first boil will be 3/20 and I plan on getting it from them. I usually get from them a couple of times a year and they are always better than the ones at HEB.

Do not recall the price but Tad's in Katy has crawfish and no masks required for guests or staff.

Have to agree that the boot is overrated, love everything else on the menu though

If you want good crawfish in the heights go to cactus cove

The Boot is good, but it's usually so crowded, it's not worth the effort.

Boil house.

Cactus was good for the price last year last year when they were 5lb for $25, but they are up to $7.50/lb this year. At that price I'll pay a few bucks mores and go to Boil House for much better crawfish.

The new place across from Kroger smells good and is usually crowded.

I haven't bought from them yet this year, but I've bought from them for years and have had great success each year.

We are planning a boil in April and will use them.

Boil house is definitely my favorite place. You can get three different levels of heat, and I do love em really spicy. Only issue is the place is small and isn't much room to sit and eat.

Second favorite is Cactus Cove. On Tuesday, it's $5/lb and weekends they offer 5 lb/$35. Plenty of parking and space to eat.

I have yet to try Crawfish Cafe across from Kroger. I've seen the menu and you can order multiple different flavors with varying levels of heat. I've heard great things about this place. Drove by yesterday at noon and there was a long ass line out the door before it opened. This place is also BYOB

Didn't have them last year due to Covid, but surprisingly, Cedar Creek is the best I have had in recent years.

I think they're still doing them every wknd...hopefully they haven't changed anything.

Really? Had them there a couple weeks ago and they were not very good. Could have been an off day I guess.

2 weeks ago I picked up 4 pounds of live from HEB for the hell of it while grocery shopping and they were tasty but the size was terrible.

I picked up a 35 pound sack from HEB this weekend and the size was much better! Crawfish, cold beer, great weather, and the tourney on tv. Beautiful.

Science Denier - I just bought the crawfish from Cajun Gourmet this last weekend and it was good. Most of the crawfish were large. I was pleasantly surprised.

Looking at their site now and it's dropped down to $3.25/lb. On the crawfish app, it shows Kroger's at $2.99/lb, but not sure how big they are.
