Where do y'all go to get your wood for your smokers? I'm in the Clear Lake area but if I can find a reliable source, I'm willing to drive there if it's in the Houston area. Specifically, it's been difficult finding post oak wood chunks.

Goode Company BBQ on Kirby sells wood by the bag. Not sure if they have Post Oak, have gotten Mesquite and Hickory there in the past.

It small logs but you can split or cut into chunks.

It would be a decent trip for you but I get all my firewood from a great place on the northeast corner of Mason Rd and Franz Rd in Katy. Address is 21834 Franz Rd.

He carries post oak and mesquite. Always has firewood. He offers delivery but I'm not sure what he would charge for that to Clear Lake.

Oak chunks are hard to find. I've never found a good source.

Check the grill shop on 518, east of 270 on the north side. Family owned shop that should have whatever you need. Can't remember the name though.

Does Williams sell by the piece? I don't need a whole lot but tired of paying $10 for a small bag at Lowe's

I have 8-10 pieces of oak (I think) that somebody can have for free. Cottage Grove pick up.

Maybe it depends on which store you shop. I'm in SE Montgomery Co and frequent the Valley Ranch store. They had plenty of bags of the small logs and chunks in a variety of woods (did not see any post oak though).
