Can't let the riff raff from south of I10 into our wonderful heights community. Need those homeless to stay over there burning their ****
Dallas Police Department is full of crooked cops that lied about Mrs. Angela West and tried to destroy her name and reputation

There was a sign that said the repair would be done "late summer" but that sign had disappeared as of Monday. :/

On a positive note, they are finally going to build the connector between the White Oak Trail and MKT Trail in the same area.

The connector will be outstanding - but have they even started it yet? It was initially supposed to have been completed by this fall I thought.

Supposed to be completed by end of next year per the recent news release.

While our contractors have been making repairs to the MKT Bridge, they found additional damage caused by the fire that was not visible during the initial assessment. Further repairs are needed before the bridge can safely reopen. In addition, there's also damage to the bridge caused by wear and tear that we would like to address while it is closed.

Engineers are currently assessing this additional work. After the project is well defined, plans will then go to design and permitting with the City of Houston and Harris County Flood Control District. The MKT bridge is City of Houston property and HPB will continue to work closely with the City of Houston throughout this process.

As a result of this new development, and for safety reasons, the bridge will remain closed. We're disappointed that the bridge will not open as originally planned and cannot say for certain when the bridge will reopen to trail users. We will post updates as we have them and our current detour remains in place. See here: https://bit.ly/3nlrylK

We appreciate your continued patience as we work diligently to restore the bridge so that it is safe for public use.

Still don't know that I've ever seen anyone ever actually working on this bridge.

Really annoying how long it is taking to fix this.

You should have dialed the ever helpful and efficient 311. Sent in a concern about a trash can that a landscape "company" destroyed with their '89 F350 and it only took them a mere 9 months to finally get me a new one.

And celebrating that a bridge took two years to open.

Kinda shocked it opened this year after they said the expected timing was "late summer." Whatever, glad it is back open.
