Heard from a friend who works there...expect some big HISD news coming soon. Not public yet and still being finalized but expect kids to be back home for a while

Ok heard back again from my friend. Nothing is official or decided yet. Business as usual on Monday but it sounds like something may go out soon to give people time to prepare. Everything still up in the air.

They want to give parents time to prepare if they have to figure out what to do with their kids that may have been F2F.
There was a thread on F16 the other day about a rumor TMC was briefing member hospitals about cancelling elective surgeries with an eye to the concerns about the UK strain popping up locally and an expectation of case surge.... but like I said, read like rumor and anonymous internet post.
That's probably just part of good preparation. Better to have a plan now than to have something happen and be scrambling.
