There are several Memorial Hermann facilities in Houston. It'd help if you could be more specific. If you're referring to the one in the Medical Center, it can be hit or miss depending on the neighborhood.

Yeah it's down in the arts area. It's the main hospital. And near the children's hospital.

In that area you have everything from Rice/Museum Dostrict to 3rd Ward, so would have to know the block or smaller neighborhood unit to know whether it's safe or not.

Generally speaking, hospitals and the surrounding parking lots/garages have armed and unarmed security. As far as housing, see link.

Yes, that area is rough. Generally speaking, you will be fine. I just wouldn't walk around at night.

It's not the greatest area, but I don't think it's necessarily unsafe. Depends on if you're out and about, but my experience has been its a pretty dead area outside of football games/events at NRG.

Probably best to just carry an AR around with you if you're worried.

That area is rough but not like certain areas around TSU/UH that are seriously bad.

If you have a car, recommend parking inside garage and not walking anywhere after dark.

Where you're at is pretty close to Red River Ice House which is a pretty solid watering hole.

I stay on Fannin during rodeo, it's not the best but not the worst. There are lots of nurses, patients and students that stay in short term housing around that area.

Edit to add: Trust me, the area around Memorial Hermann TMC is a whole lot better than the areas around Memorial Hermann SW
