I haven't investigated further but can someone explain to me what I should see that is racist, hateful, or or demeaning in those pictures? It looks like "jersey day". How is this different than preppie day or something along those lines?

Article says it was called "Jersey Day." A few students decided to call it "Thug Day" and dress up like in those pictures.
