And pretty much all the IVY's are about who you are or who you know to get admitted. You just have to be above average college student material in most degree plans from there, it seems, and they'll graduate you.

Hooray, someone indoctrinated at Harvard as a progressive community organizer.

Beware the thinking that someone from Harvard is impressive and must be smarter than you. The new model at the old "elite" schools is to mix their old money connected students with disadvantaged people of color so that they can feel better about how inclusive and wonderful they are.
I think its more connections than anything. Worked with two people with degrees from ivy league schools and both had their MBA from Wharton. Absolute morans. Obviously a ton of brilliant minds go there, but when daddy knows the right people, it can cover a whole lot of sins in the common sense / intelligence department.

I went to law school with 3 ivy's and a Stanford grad. Graduated higher than all of them and I don't claim to be a genius. Coming from a little podunk town in Southeast Texas and A&M. Means absolutely nothing.

former colleague that went to Dartmouth would always guarantee that everyone we worked with that went to A&M, Texas, or any other flagship state school worked 10 times harder to get out than he did. Ivy League = hard to get in, easy to get out. Parrot the indoctrination and you get easy As.

I have no belief that the former glory of the ivy league is still in tact. They are a SJW driven group of schools that doesn't actually educate anymore.
