So we have a 27 year old that has never had a job running Harris County.

Here's the real problem: the county judge has substantial control over the Port of Houston. That is the engine that drives the local economy. What if the preying leftist (D) cadre were to influence her to put a member of the Sierra Club (or Greenpeace) on the port board?

There are real means by which this person can seriously **** up Houston and Harris County. For the sake of everyone, let's hope she doesn't.

When commissioners court was discussing the flood bond, I watched some of the session on YouTube (which I believe now qualifies me to sit as County Judge). About a half dozen spokespersons for various environmental groups wasted everyone's time taking turns demanding that the county conduct environmental impact studies that were going to be conducted anyway, crowding out any normal citizens who may have wished to speak. Commissioner Ellis graciously thanked each and every one of them for taking the time to be there, as if they weren't all paid community organizers. I'm sure that's just a small taste of what's to come.

Houston judge under investigation for alleged courtroom assault

Quote:

A Harris County judge is under investigation by Houston police for allegedly assaulting the legal assistant of a defense attorney in his courtroom this week, a police spokesman confirmed Friday.

Criminal Court at Law #10 Judge Lee Harper Wilson, who presides over misdemeanor criminal cases, is accused of stepping down from the bench and physically grabbing the woman to move her out of an area in the courtroom typically reserved for attorneys.

...

Wilson is one of the many Democratic judges swept into office in the November election. He is one of 16 judges in Harris County who preside over misdemeanor cases, such as DWIs, domestic violence and assaults.

The Chronicle endorsed Wilson's candidacy, and the veteran attorney said his commitment to help youth was his main reason for running for the bench. He's board certified in criminal law, a graduate of the Thurgood Marshall School of Law and championed bail reform efforts.

Had jury duty recently in criminal court with the New Democratic socialist judge, Franklin Bynum, he is an embarrassment.

I heard from a friend that one Harris Co. probate judge used his investment ceremony to celebrate being the first openly gay probate judge, and had a rather large trans dude as well as a homeless musician playing key roles in the ceremony. Proclaimed something to the effect that, "Finally, the Harris County judiciary reflects the diversity of Harris County". Never mind there are no Republicans left.

SO what's really curious about democrat judges is that they actually cause the price of access to justice to go way up. Long story short, they try to send every issue possible to the jury and are reluctant to flush even highly dubious claims/causes of action.

That will be compounded by the fact that now we have Democrats at the appellate level too.

But at leas the lawyers get paid. Suckers.

Yep, it's going to get bad around the Tine.

When people act like animals or worse than animals, they do deserve cages. You can't change every person by just caring. That's when the really bad ones use the system and continue to hurt others.

God forbid war breaks out. We know who will be at the forefront of the profiteering (and hoarding).
