Here's an article on the delays. There are some other good ones out there. Lots of excuses from the city. All of them are either to total BS (everything ran fine until Dec 2018, but it's Harvey's fault?!?!?!) or were foreseeable and nothing done.

I don't know if they have ever stated the actual value of the city fleet damaged in Harvey, but I heard it was about 30% of the solid waste trucks and millions in cars parked in the COH parking garage.

I am sure the insurance did not cover that so we get to just guess at when our trash will be picked up.

Luckily I was home last Sunday, January 6 and heard the recycling truck that was supposed to come on 12/31 and ran out to take the can back out to the street.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing that Gilbert Garcia is his campaign treasurer in one his ads, and I've heard Garcia proclaim himself as a socialist before.

Buzbee is all over the place politically and certainly not a socialist. I have a colleague that worked for him for a while. Basically said that he's willing to give the guy a shot and his biggest problem will be that he tries to micro-manage too much.

I might put a sign in my yard and I don't even live in Harris County.
