Just down the road from from Kemah is Monument Inn
Get the pan fried shrimp
Cajun Greek in Galveston
pretty good place BUT..nothing compares to the late great San Jacinto Inn. A Texas treasure gone but never forgotten. I can still taste those fresh biscuits and that strawberry jam. Bowls and bowls of fresh pealed cold boiled shrimp. They had other items along with the shrimp but I seldom got past the all you can eat shrimp.jobu93 said:

We always like to eat at Tookies and then grab dessert next door at Seabrook Waffle Company.

They take cards now. I've had to make the drive of shame to an ATM before and damn near got to Kemah before seeing one. I bet any of the dirty convenience stores close to 146 had one but I'd racked up a $60 bill and that takes effort w/ two people at Gilhooleys.Ag_07 said:

Leave the kids at home, use the bathroom before you leave the house, and bring cash
