As far as I'm concerned thats the problem with this ridiculous ass district. I'll be voting for the democrat, Litton who at least lives in urban Houston if Roberts wins the runoff.

We have been represented for years in central Houston by a rep from Kingwood. Roberts has represented Cypress in the state legislature. I cant really say I've been too displeased by Poe, but I have no desire to have a conservative representative from Cypress, Spring/Klein, Kingwood (or hell, even Huffman is in the same district). They have shown me that they are going to get involved in urban politics on the side I dont agree with, or worse not fight for things within the urban part of the district because of the views of suburban constituents. Roberts siding with a handful of NIMBYs against a neighborhood bar in a super dense neighborhood is a perfect example. I'll vote for Crenshaw, if not him then Litton.

Yup. Just about every majority black neighborhood was crammed into one district so that their vote won't impact races in the other districts. Every few months someone comes on here complaining "how on earth is she elected?"
