I was at game 1 last night. And it is unreal how Rockets games is the mecca of this type of crowd. Astros and Texans games? not really. but Rockets games? full of em.

really adds to the entertainment value of the whole experience.

Meanwhile up in the 400s, I had a trio of 50-something ladies in front of me drunkenly arguing about the Astros hitting. The highlight was after a lull in their debate, the largest one pulled up Baseball Reference on her phone to help prove whatever point she was trying to make.

Was that last night? Looks awfully empty for a playoff game.

Oh yeah...It's the Rockets and they have to bribe folks with $1 hot dogs and $1 beer to show up to playoff games.

It is interesting. You sit 50 yard line at Texans game and you're surrounded by regular looking middle aged people in jerseys.

My guess is that for Texans and Astros games, these people are huddled away in the suites or would only go for the big hyped draws. But courtside Rockets they know they have a chance of being on TV.

My guess is that for Texans and Astros games, these people are huddled away in the suites or would only go for the big hyped draws. But courtside Rockets they know they have a chance of being on TV.
That or the off chance that one of the players sees them and they have a chance to upgrade their sugar daddy.
