No increase for me as well in 77095. A little shocked considering I live on what was an island during harvey, but I'm not complaining

No change on the house - 77079 - and it's been aggressive on the '79 the last 5 years. Curious why no ones has moved. Impacts from Harvey too difficult to quantify?

No change in 77389 for the second year in a row. Value is the same as what I got it lowered to in 2016 when I protested (and is only $900 more than what I paid for the house in 2013).

I was actually having a conversation about this yesterday...there were about 300 houses in my neighborhood that flooded (although, they are in a different zip code). I was actually expecting an increase because my house did not flood.

Flooded home in KW - not out yet.

It looks like everyone who didn't flood, got the same value; everyone who did flood, still pending. Obviously just speculating, but my guess is that they are so overwhelmed with value re-assessments on flooded homes that they just "f-it" on the rest and just carried over the values for the non-flooded.

77009 up more than 10%

A small portion of my neighborhood flooded, don't see any street in my neighborhood who has been posted yet.

Had a friend who flooded and don't see their home at all, any reason ?

All the 77009 ones I checked had the same market value as last year. The taxable values increased by the max for homes that had a gap, but that always happens when there's a gap.

77009 lots went from $200k to $225k. In Brookesmith at least.

Still pending in 77079. We paid about 50k less than hcads 2017 market value in September of 17. 2/3 of our neighborhood flooded but houses are continuing to sell in our neighborhood. Since we moved in 3 on our block have sold, two of which were flooded. I'm impressed by the flooded sales prices. Longterm it looks like the neighborhood will continue to appreciate so u need to lock in my sales price for my 2018 valuation

Easy. Take closing docs to informal and you should get selling price.

Filing my new homestead exemption, just a general residential exemption. My wife had the exemption on our old house (she bought it prior to us being married). Anyone familiar with this form? Do I need to select anything in Step 5 (Tax Limitation or Exemption Transfer). Most of the exemption transfers have to do with disabled and veteran exemptions and I think the other exemption transfer listed "Tax Limitation" (11.26h or 11.261(h) is old people tax caps.
