Hi there. I'm looking to build a custom home in the Spring/Woodlands area. Do y'all have any recommendations for a good custom home builder for this area?

I did a search online for customer home builders and 10+ pages of companies popped up! Most have good online reviews, so I'm looking for suggestions from Aggies.

Budget: 700k to 950k
Land: 22,000 sq ft+
House: 4000 to 5000 sq ft

As was posted before more information might help qualify the referrals. We currently are financing just shy of 500 custom builds and most builders have different parameters for the projects they build such as price and size.

There are a lot of quality builders in your area of interest but not all serve all segments of the market.

I would talk to Dirk Hoyt still from University Town Builders. He is building our house in Memorial. We used an architect that referred us to him. We met with three builders and narrowed it down to him. I think he understands the process. He has been at the sam location for 20+ years. Some sketchy builders you never see them again and can't find them after the build. We met with many of the people who were getting their house built and they all loved him.

Closed a deal to provide financing to one of their custom clients a couple of months ago. The client was very demanding and they handled it very well. Brent Kaz is the contact there and he's very good to work with.

I'm looking to build a mother-in-law suite on my property in west Houston. Probably 800-1000 sq ft, so it's a bit of a different request than OP's. I'll probably try to reach out to a lot of the builders listed here but would be interested in other suggestions.

Don't want to hijack this thread but I figured it was a similar request... Can start a new thread if it makes more sense.

Already mentioned above, but We've had friends build with Hames and been very happy. Schany also builds a great home but pricey.

We used Partners in Building, and we were very happy. We also had a great construction manager, so that helped a ton.
