A lot of young parents these days with lots of money seem to have kids as props more than anything else. Then dump them on the nanny to raise, teach, and possibly indoctrinate them. Maybe that's why so many trust fund kids are socialists with white guilt? Kidding, but it is kind of weird how often times the nanny seems to play a much bigger role in the kid's life than the mother. And typically mothers in this socioeconomic class have plenty of time to do cool stuff with their friends and post it on the internet.SoupNazi2001 said:

Yep. My facebook feed is full of people taking selfies on trips sans children. Must be nice to have grandparents willing to take care of kids for days on end. I can barely get mine to watch our kids for an evening so my wife and I can enjoy dinner. It's not the kids, it's the fact that both sets of grandparents are old and aren't in the best of health. I am always a bit shocked looking at photos somebody else takes of Lainie when I realize she actually has two eyes. You're probably right. I'm just a narcissist ******* lucky enough to have grandparents that keep the kids everyday and then a couple times a year for a 3-5 day vacation.
I have some friends that hire a nanny at a vacation spot so they're not leaving kids at home. That's genius.

I'm not talking about occasional kid free vacations and dates. That is normal and healthy. We have great grandparents that watch our kids for a vacation or two a year and some dates. However we aren't going out 2-3 times per week and taking a vacation every month either without our kids. That is what I was referring too.
On this thread, nobody gives two sh/ts how you or anyone else raise their kids.
