Jesus Christ this stupid argument needs to end.
With modern transportation and refrigeration methods you can get sushi just as good as Japan anywhere in the world if the establishment is willing to pay the price for the best fish and fastest shipping.
Does it taste better in Japan? I don't doubt everyone believes it does. You are in Japan, your mind is all geeked out for the best sushi you ever had. You are in an ambience that reminds you of the birthplace of sushi and lo and behold the fish you are served is the best you ever had!
I love beer of any and all kinds (except sours, that **** is gross). I've found that as I have traveled the world from the U.S. through Mexico, Brazil, scandinavia, Europe, Singapore, Thailand, china, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea, India and more, that each beer tastes best when paired with the local cuisine. I can get Tiger beer in Houston but it is never quite as good as having it in Singapore with Chili Crab. I can get a Singh Ha in Houston Thai restaurant but it isn't as good as those I have had in Bangkok.
I can make my mother's lasagne or my dad's secret BBQ sauce at home, but they are never quite the same as what I have at my parents house.
You petty little children need to stfu already!
