Soccer is just a cardio workout. Calling it a sport is a disgrace to real sports like Golf and Nascar.

I enjoy soccer but make fun of my BiL for his affected ManU fandom.
He never played soccer growing up and when he got his MBA at Columbia one of his buddies was from Manchester and a die-hard ManU fan so my BiL adopted them. Of course the fact that they were the marquee club in the Premier League (still are I guess) makes charges of him being a bandwagon fan appropriate.
He's gotten way too into it IMHO. At least he's also a hard-core football fan, growing up in Denver and going to college at Notre Dame, naturally he's a huge Broncos and Fighting Irish fan. He's also a big-time hockey fan. None of which really jive with his level of interest in soccer.
But whatever.
Anyway, he's the ringleader behind the guys night of him, me, my brother, my dad, and my brother's son all going tonight. I will be the only one of the 5 not wearing ManU gear but I will grant a concession and wear a red shirt. My BiL, my sister, and their 2 kids came down from Denver for the week- mainly because of this match.
Should be a fun time.

I like soccer, just can't stand people that use kit, pitch, side, or other affectations of English soccer terms.

ManU was great when they were managed by Sir Alex Ferguson. They've been below form since he left. High point since then was the uefa cup win (which now comes with a champions league berth).
For tonight, since I'm an Everton fan, I would say pull for ManU since the just bought Romelu Lukaku from us and they might as well get their 90 million out of him.
