We are buying a house with a pool and just starting to wrap our heads around all the improvements we want to make.

Does anyone have a ballpark figure on what it costs to replace the coping and waterline tile? It's outdated and we want a fresh look. Obviously nothing over the top, just flagstone coping and maybe a standard (but updated) waterline tile. The pool was already replastered so we don't need that done.

had a few quotes recently. i think it's about $4k for glass tile and a higher-end coping like travertine.

Call pool works and they should be able to give you an estimate based on the perimeter.

I would estimate ~$10 a linear foot for the tile (could be more for higher end tile) and ~$10-$25 a linear foot for coping depending on what material you go with (cast concrete on the cheap end to travertine on the higher end).

If you have a salt water pool DO NOT get flagstone!
