There's a bigger issue than race when it comes to gentrification. In Houston especially, its the rapid rise in COL.
We were always behind every other mid tier city for a long time. And now we're catching up to them quick. This sate & the city is bringing in too many people too fast. And we're bringing in people that can afford the rising prices plus taxes.
Poor inner city neighborhoods are always ripe for picking. Every major city is going through it. I walked through East Harlem at night, its not what it used to be. Heck Boston is losing their Blue Collar Irish neighborhoods.
