This is an OTL problem, but what started out as a large pothole this morning is now a hole in the I-45 bridge over Spring Creek (near Rayford Rd). Just a heads up that traffic is down to one lane.

Pssh, that's OTGP.

Driving back ITL should be breeze.

Haha...I thought about calling it that when I posted! It was supposed to be fixed by 5 pm.

Pretty sure I hit the beginning of that hole about 10pm last night. Shook the entire truck.

This is the third time they've patched that hole in three years. I feel like I'm playing Russian roulette every time I drive that stretch.

Did you call it into 311?

I don't think that a pothole that big would pop up overnight.

Had to have been a significant failure for some time that finally gave way.

Hell I drove by there at 515 on way to work and it wasn't even marked or blocked off...luckily I was left lane cruising and missed it. Cars strewn everywhere with flats between there and woodlands though...I didn't know the cause at the time and it was pretty incredible to see.

It was patched multiple times and the patch has been failing for weeks.

Traffic was backed up pretty bad by 630 when I went over 45 on the GP. Thought it was a wreck until the traffic report on the radio said that there were at least 10 vehicles damaged by the "car-eating" pothole by that point.

I've driven on I45 southbound going over Spring Creek.

Really makes you think.
