I picked up a Black Bay 36 over the weekend. I really like the size, but it took a little getting used to.

The other day I pulled the trigger on a Michael Kors smart watch.

i hadn't seen that one yet; looks sharp. I have a really big wrist and my Tudor Classic 38 feels small to me; but I get complements on it all the time.

I think we're just used to huge honking watches now. A 42mm watch is seen as on the small side of medium now; and that used to be considered HUGE.

If you like the style but 36 is too small, they released a 41mm this year. I was looking for something a little smaller to be a do-everything watch. This and a couple of Seikos are my "collection," and I'm not one to switch between watches much. I can wear this anywhere.

This sumbish cleeeeen. Really like it. Doesn't wear enormous like my old POC 9300. Also has a really cool wooden presentation box, that locks, and you have to press the omega crest to open. Hadn't seen that before.

I'm sure you'll get plenty of compliments from your boyfriend on it

...and I FINALLY got my watch back from Mr. K. Think he had it close to SIX MONTHS.

Lesson learned, never again.

Best watch you can buy for under $500. Pretty nice sale on these. I have an older Skyhawk model, which is essentially the same. Just a PSA for value-conscious watch wearers...

Citizen Navihawk

No skin off my back. I would prefer it to the Seiko Astron, for about 15 - 20% of the price.

I would go with the Steinhart Pepsi GMT44. Sapphire bezel and crystal, high quality automatic movement. Can be had for under 500

Good looking watch but 36mm is way too tiny for me

If anyone's interested I have a Omega Commanders watch I'm trying to sell. Only been worn a few times. And I still have the original box. Asking $4200.

I can't figure out how to post pictures on mobile but I do have some available I can text or email.

With the Citizen I posted, I've just gotten really used to having the atomic time and never having to buy a battery. I like the dual band and the light as well. The digital functions come in handy for running and traveling. I also have a Casio g-Shock solar atomic for more rugged stuff like camping. After wearing solar atomic watches for the past 5 years, I'll never go back to setting watches or changing batteries.

I see that, but it looks like the listing is wrong unless it has recently been changed. You can see in the photos it isn't aluminum.

Perhaps under the sapphire coating it is aluminum?

Looks like they just changed it

Google "Steinhart Pepsi sapphire" to see what the old ones looked like with the sapphire bezel.

I like the Steinhart, but I almost got one of these instead. I really liked the color of the dial.
