I have a pair of Justin ostrich boots that need to be re-soled. They came with tekno crepe soles that were comfortable and lasted me a couple years (office setting, wear them 2-3 times a week). Anyways, contemplating switching to a leather sole so they are a little "dressier" but not positive on that. Does anyone have a recommendation on where I should go for good quality / reasonable price?

Houston board has become like a docile little baby lamb. Back in the day the likely response to this would have been something along the lines of, "Ditch the Justin's and get some real boots such as Lucchese's. LOLPoors."

In the boards defense I did think that, but now everyone buys from the no name exotic boot store.

What kind of prices does Maida's or Great Western Boots charge to resole a pair of boots? I have a couple of pairs of exotics that I would like to get repaired.

Funny that the end of my right boot is always the part of the sole that wears out first. Has to have something to do with the amount of time that I spend behind the wheel and how my foot applies the gas or brakes I think...

I think I remember paying around 50 to 75 for complete sole replacements on mine last time at Great Western.

Resoleing is for lolpoors. When the soles wear out on mine, or i want a different sole, i just buy a new pair. Why dont you ask about rental tires and rims too while you are at it.

If I was wearing $80 boots from Payless, I wouldn't worry about resoleing either. But when the boot is worth multiple times the cost of a resole, it makes much more sense to repair the boot rather than replace it.
