It seems like all my internet searches send me to summer "camps" and other shorter term summer extracurriculares for kids. Am I missing something, or what do 2-job families do for school-age kids during the months of summer? Any good options in the Dallas/Collin county areas?

We did the JCC one year - it was good. Had daughter do tennis camp there. Soccer camps, science camp, summer camp. Lots of camps. Sports camps can be all day.

They have everything For young men to enjoy.
You can hang out with all the boys.
It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

Depends. How old are the kids?

My wife runs a daycare out of our house in Little Elm. She usually accepts school aged children during the summer. I'm sure there's something similar where you live.

If you're still looking, try Montessori schools. One near us is taking up to 3rd graders for summer sessions.
