We moved into a house in Plano at the beginning of 2019 and switched to Spectrum for internet. We had AT&T previously, but that isn't available at our current address. We have the "Internet Ultra" service (400 Mbps) and our introductory rate was great at $45/month for the first year. As expected, after that first year it went up to $60/month. Now one year after that, I see it is going up to $75/month. I know it is not uncommon for these companies to raise their rates over time, but a 66% increase in two years seems a little ridiculous. However, a brief online search shows that I may not be able to do much better than that for a comparable plan. Is this about the right price for that service, and have I just been getting a great deal for the past two years? Does anyone have a provider that they recommend that can do better? I know that if I call and threaten to switch to another provider that they might lower the price for a short time again, but I hate having to do that every time. Also not sure it's even worth the headache of switching everything if I can't do much better. TIA for any recommendations.
