Any suggestions? I live in Rockwall but spend a lot of time in Dallas so picking something up isn't an issue. I googled some results but wanted to ask if there are any shops out there that stand out.

CM is the best for one-stop shopping. Though the one at Lovers/Greenville was a gigantic cluster on Sunday.

Other considerations for meat are Rudolph's (Deep Ellum), Kuby's (Park Cities), Local Yocal (McKinney), and CostCo.

I agree that CM is a great spot for both.

David's Meat Market in Garland has always been really good. The staff is really knowledgeable.

I don't like that Costco blade tenderizes most of their steak cuts, but do frequently get my briskets there.

Meat shop is good for a few cuts.

Love kubys and Rudolph's due to nostalgia but you can get better meats at better prices at Costco.

Central market is my go to for fish.

I'm in Whole Foods a lot so also will but fish or meat opportunistically if something catches my eye

Not sure if it's the Amazon effect but Whole Foods meat quality has dropped off. We only go to CM now for meat.

Just tried them over the weekend and was impressed. Got a great cut of picanha as well as a strip that had great marbling for the price.

For seafood, CM and WF are good but I also really like Captain Dave's in Plano near Collin Creek. The crab dip they sell there is so good I'd eat it on a turd.

Although we've moved 25 minutes east Capt'n Daves is still a goto. Central Market is less than 10 minutes away from CD's and always worth the drive.

Good meat packages at great prices, and their hamburgers are outstanding. Don't go there for prime cuts, though.

Market St works well for every day but special occasions I go to CM. Costco does well as well.
