We have used MCNT out of Carrollton (our home town) for five years and are looking for a better option.

Wish list:
*Near Carrollton
*Appointment hours beyond 8:30-4:30p M-F
*Doctors who actually get to know their families
*Takes AETNA

We started going to dr sickler at

A couple years ago on the recommendation of our old pediatrician who moved to Florida. Been happy with her and they have Saturday hours.

Michelle Tucker in Castle Hills, straight up Josey or Pediatric Specialists of Plano. It's at Parker and Midway. So not IN Carrollton, but fairly close. No idea about Aetna though. But we really liked both of those locations when we were in Carrollton.

Another vote for Pediatric Specialists of Plano. Dr Berkowitz is our primary pediatrician and we love him. We have seen all of the docs in the group over the years and like them all. Downside is they are a very busy practice so annual well visits need booked many months in advance and when you do need same day sick visits don't be surprised if you have to see someone besides your regular doc. https://www.psopkids.com/

Just a heads up as a past healthcare consultant, make sure the office confirms the doctor you choose is in-network/contracted with your insurance plan through Aetna. Do not let them tell you that they "take" Aetna. Through the years, I have found that offices will always tell their patients they "take" certain insurances, but it doesn't mean they are contracted and in-network. As long as your plan is a PPO, it is highly likely that any pediatrician around the DFW is contracted and in-network as Aetna is one of the 4 top national insurances. I just wanted to make sure you were aware! Good luck!

Thanks. I'll contact each office and verify.
