Been a while since this has been discussed, I think.

I live up in McKinney, but it's hard as hell for me to find a place that anything as good as a pitcher of Joe T's margaritas. The food is completely meh, but the margaritas are the best I've had. Sitting on the patio and sharing a couple of those is a good time.

The ggm at Gloria's is solid.

Mambo taxis at micocina are good. Though since moving within the metroplex I have found they do vary from location to location.

Struggle to find good one honestly.

Top shelf at uncle Julio's and joe t's

Uncle Julio's horseshoe is tough to beat. The El Jefe of you like a bit of spice. The ej is strong, they'll only serve 2,but you get about 2 in a single order since you pour yourself from the shaker.

Desperados has a variety of margaritas, most of them quite good.

Cheap? El arroyo on Wednesday's

Baja Cantina over in the Grapevine/Keller area are really good.

Gloria's. Only reason I go there.

mexican martini at Chuys....1800 and Grand Marnier

Dean's Margarita at the Ritz Carlton bar is excellent. Not your everyday bar but it's a great. They make it with Damiana instead of triple sec/orange based liquor so not as sweet.

Non-traditional but lately I like the Usual at Jose. It's technically a skinny but with good, simple ingredients I don't miss the sugar at all.

They bring tequila on the rocks, a shot glass of fresh lime juice and small Topo Chico. You assemble to taste.

Easy to make at home and saves the somewhat absurd 14 dollar charge. I add a dash of Cointreau if really craving something on the sweet side.

Javier's Favorite margarita at Javier's. Doesn't get any better than that.

Last few times I've been to Joe T's, the margaritas have been watered down. Not a fan so far.

Joe T's is crap. Great atmosphere but the margaritas are average at best.

The Oaxaca at Mesa Maya is the best one out there all though it's not technically a Margarita. It's made with Mezcal. It's almost ruined most other margs for me.

My other favorite Margarita which you can't get anymore was at Lark on the Park. It had frothed egg white. Freaking awesome but they don't make it anymore.

Used to love Mambo Taxi's but there is so much sugar in it they are hard to get down now.

And, the worst margarita I've ever had was at Joe T's. Never understood the fascination with their margs.

Yep, had a "goodbye weekend" and then closed the doors just before Christmas.

Owner is going to open it as a new concept with new chef and simpler food to capture more of the everyday traffic now that the area is so much more residential than it used to be.
