Anybody have a recommendation for a mason or chimney specialist in the mid cities?

I think all this rain has worked it's way through our chimney cap and we're getting drips inside the fireplace.

Willing to bet its not your chimney but more than likely the counter flashing from under the singles and up the side. It would be easy to fix on your own I would just do it myself rather than paying what a contractor would want for the job

When the flashing leaks, it leaks into the drywall in the upstairs bathroom right behind the chimney. I've fixed that before.

This was dripping down through the top of the firebox and only after a lot of rain. There was no other evidence of leaking on any of the drywall upstairs or downstairs, only drops inside the fireplace (and not from the opening of the flue).

When we first moved into the house I patched cracks in the cap found during inspection, but it is a two story house and I would rather not climb up there again.
