The rest of my street didn't do so well. The assessor is playing catch up with what the 3 (me being one) recent sales were.

Up 10% market value in Lower/est Greenville, still homestead capped well below that. Somehow my BIL & sister's house in Preston Hollow is unchanged for the third year in a row -- not sure if they have bribed the assessor or what.

I'm in Preston Hollow East - very close to the park. This year was a pretty significant correction year for my neighbors and me. 20 years in the same spot, and this year was one of the bigger % increases.

Up 27% in Richardson Heights. Second year in a row to hit 10% cap. Getting very close to what my house would sell for. Protested last year and they dropped value like $500. This year I don't think I will bother to waste my time, especially knowing what recent listings on my block sold for. Hopefully increases in house values slow down soon.

I did a quick scan on Zillow just to see what's for sale around us and while it's wide ranging in price most of the homes comparable to ours are listed for 8-10% higher than what we paid for ours in 2015.

When we bought I cringed because the taxable value hadn't caught up to the market yet in our pocket which is why the huge jump I posted earlier. Feeling a little better about our purchase price now.

We've had some ridiculous prices just on this street that are a cursing and a blessing.

All market increases are in improvements, dirt remained the same. 21 of 23 have homesteads, 5 of 23 have 65+ caps.

Average Increase - $86,260
Average % Increase - 19.04%

We were the low at 1.35%
The high was 31.85%
