We live in Ryan Place (medical district) and have att "uverse" for internet and are only able to get 3.0mbps. They actually charged us for 6.0 for a year and then a senior technician told us that we would never be able to get 6.0 since we are too far away from the main terminal. They then gave us $5 off for 12 mos. We have some friends that are happy w/ charter. What do y'all have, what do you pay, and are you happy w/ the service?

Charter has good internet, but their tv service is awful.

My father in law tried the charter tv & internet package and hated it. He claims there is a issue w/ the line to the house and they weren't willing to replace it after several service calls so he cancelled them. Others have said the internet is good

We had charter when we lived in fairmount and it was pretty decent. Internet was fast.

No issues with Charter internet when I lived in Fairmount.

Now my uverse internet is absolutely terrible but I really like direct tv. Likely going to bite the bullet & unbundle with Direct TV & Charter Internet.

Charter ftw plus their starting speed is 100Mbps now that they acquired TWC

Charter is fastest bc it's a single cable modem

Their tv service is nothing to scoff at

Charter overall is awful. Internet good, tv awful, and service awful. Get ready to be sales called once a week for the rest of your life.

I know their service sucks but what is my other option? Att Internet at 3 Mbps for over $40/mo. Wonder if Verizon is available over here

In DFW, your only option is to bend over and take it from 1 of 2 companies, and they don't care if you are upset because you have no options. Enjoy.

Ya the service is pretty sub par but For the 100mbps with no contract or caps, I can't complain

Service was great for me. They even do same day appointments if service needed.
