Can anyone advise on some good ideas for a bachelor party in DFW other than strip clubs and heavy drinking?

I took my groomsmen and ushers to the gun range. The drag strip was my second choice.

I know a few people who went camping friday and saturday then on sunday morning tailgated at the cowboys game and then went to the game as the finale. If you want try a Star's game or a Mav's game they are fun but a little lacking in the tailgaiting department.

Does Dallas have one of those high speed go-kart places? Paintball, followed by some racing would be kinda fun. Rent a hotel room and play poker.

Or head up to the Winstar if everyone's up for some gambling.

How is the Winstar? That was something I had high on my list but I've heard its underwhelming.

Malibu speedway over on 35 has dragsters, go karts, video games, etc. and across the street there is a place you can bungee jump and what not

I haven't been to the Winstar since they expanded, but it's alright. Last time I was there, there was no drinking, but they had all the games. If it's a group of poker players who don't care as much about drinking, it will do. There are a ton of machines, too. It's alright for a day trip.

If you want more of a "fun" casino, it's worth the extra hour drive to Shreveport.

Winstar has full alchol now, but unless you are playing poker, then you should make the drive to Shreveport.

Winstar charges an ante to play all table games. You have to pay 50 cents just to get a hand. It's a huge place and tons of slot machines as well, but it's not very nice. They also only have card games, no roulette or craps.

The poker room up there is a completly different story. Very nice room, flatscreens with different sports all around, decent dealers/action. If poker is your thing you should check it out.

Don't go to Winstar, go to Shreveport. A little further but better casinos.

What is the poker situation at Winstar as far as having to wait for a table? Do you put your name down and wait to get called? If so, what's it like on a weekend?

And yeah, the ante thing is crap, but all Indian Casinos do that. It screws the dealer, because most people won't tip since they are already paying to play.

yeah they normally keep a list just to make sure all the tables are full. If the list gets over 20 or so they start a new table. I've been there a good number of times and probably 20 minutes is the most I've ever waited.

The casino itself sucks, but the poker room seems to be very well run and probably the nicest set up around that you would drive too. The poker in Shreveport doesn't even compare, played once and it was awful.

For a bachelor party last year, me and some buddies of mine went to a gun range and rented a machine gun. I HIGHLY recommend you investigate this type of entertainment. You'll make friends with EVERYONE at the gun range.

There is a really cool putt putt golf on coit rd on the Dallas/Richardson/Plano border

A round of golf, hire the stippers to caddie, every stroke under (or over if you suck like me) means a piece of clothing come off.

Its on the pricey side, but renting a suite at the AAC for a game...
