Getting my Dad's '99 Accord ready to sell to some deserving Ag and need a timing belt replacement. Do you have any good experiences with Honda specialists

E&T in Round Rock took care of replacing the Timing Belt on my 97 Honda and they are stright shooters on all repairs.

We've gone to Friendly Car Care on Burnet for years for our Hondas.

If in Round Rock, I also recommend E&T. They're the only mechanics I've ever trusted to not screw me over and they do great work at a fair price.

Grand Imports off of Grand Ave in N. Austin (on I-35) specializes in Honda, Acura & Toyota. They have taken good care of my 2004 Acura TSX with 220k miles for about the last 100k and always honest if the car doesn't need something yet.

I second Grand Imports. Have taken multiple Hondas there for big and small jobs. They are good people too.

I have used a small shop called Hondacure Automotive Specialists in the past for some Honda and Acura repairs. Located in the area of Anderson and Burnet.

If you still need someone let me know. I just wrapped up a 3 year stint in the service department at Howdy Honda and know several guys who could help.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I dropped the car off today with Mookie's guy.

He is going to do transmission, radiator, power steering flushes in addition to the timing belt.

I will let you know how it worked out.

I had a good experience with Mookie's recommendation.

Moe, owner of United-Euro, at 4701 Priem Lane Pflugerville, 512 809-5877.

I told him I wanted that car ready to travel across country if need be for a potential buyer. $2,000 later, I have new tires, fluids, hoses, belts, ignition system (plugs wires distributor) and a working charged up ac system.

Now what to do with it. Its my 4th car in my fleet and I work out of my house and don't go anywhere.

I am a car hoarder.
