My son always wants crab legs for his birthday lunch. We've always gone to Joe's Crab Shack in the past. The one on Riverside is closed so looking for recommendations for crab pot like Joe's in Austin. I know there's one in RR, not sure we will have time for that trip. Anything closer woth trying? Thanks

I have heard Clark's oyster bar and Deckhand are both pretty good but have not been to either.

Went to Mongers Market + Kitchen recently and the seafood was very good IMO.

Does Golden Corral still do crab legs on the buffet?

If Joes is ok then just go to Red Lobster

Pinch Boil House may have crabs.

Mongers has the freshest fish in Austin. I was in there today and they have Fresh Copper River Sockeye Salmon. Ate some there and took some home.

We were going to try this place in another week. Anyone eaten there before?

Louisiana crab shack is bad. Do not recommend. Will be surprised if stays in business very long.

Crawfish Shack and Oyster Bar is good. they have two locations, on at South Park Meadows and the other up north close to Wells Branch. The one up north is better according to the gf but i couldn't tell the difference.

Quality Seafood is a great choice too!

idk about crab legs, but Deckhand is pretty good off S.Lamar. I go there all the time for their "oysters". Mainly because their sauce for oysters is prime.

Theres a new place on 71 near the Y in oak hill called Shore Raw Bar & Grill. Tried it last weekend and its pretty legit.

Truluck's is easily the best place in town for crab legs. They raise their own and fly them in fresh daily.

I ate at the Deckhand north location a couple of weeks ago and had the worst seafood ever. Very disappointing because I had heard good things.

+3 for TLC on Lamar

Never forget the one time I went to Joe's Crab and asked for soft shell crab. They looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language returned and stated they don't have them......never returned.

Frieda's in North Austin is a good seafood restaurant, but I am not sure about crab legs.
