Journal entry by Erica Anderson 12 minutes ago

God continues to bless the Robertson family. The house sale was complete and funded on February 11th. Erica was able to continue working until February 18th when her battle with cancer reached a turning point. It is with great sadness that the family of Erica Lynn Robertson announces her passing, on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at the age of 40 years.

Erica was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where she graduated in 1999 with a degree in Information Systems and Operations Management. She continued her education and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude with her MBA in 2001. With this amazing education, as well as abundant blessings from God, Erica went on to an amazing career ranging from launching a start-up, to 8 years at an advertising agency working with large companies like Sharp, Eli Lilly, and Exxon. Erica's most prized work accomplishment, however, was working with her most recent employer, Pearson Education. At Pearson, Erica was one of the youngest VPs in a Fortune 500 company, where she served as the Vice President of Program Operations for over 4 years. Erica adored this position and her team, largely because of her work on digital education for grades K-12 where her leadership resulted in improved learning opportunities for students.

In addition to the accomplishments listed above, Texas A&M also provided Erica with her most amazing blessing her husband David. David and Erica built an amazing life together, including 19 years of marriage and six beautiful children. Erica's family was always the reason behind her glorious smile, and she never tired of providing them with unconditional love, hugs, words of encouragement, and countless moments of laughter and fun.

After her heroic and tireless efforts to defeat cancer, Erica went to join her Savior, where she is now living free from all pain! Erica will be forever remembered by her loving husband David and beautiful children Grace, Luke, Dean, Jack, Grant, and Clark, her Father Bob (Yvonne), her brother B.J. (Colleen) and his children Maxwell and Simon. Erica will also be remembered by her extended family and dear friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, at 12:30 p.m., at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750 with a Funeral Service immediately following from 1:00 2:00 p.m.

A private family committal service will follow.
Memorial donations may be made to Compassion (compassion.com), ChildFund International (childfund.org), or MD Anderson Cancer Center (gifts.mdanderson.org).
