Howdy,

I may accept an offer at Dell. I'm currently moving to LH, as I'm divorced and that's where my kids go to school.

How's the commute? I assume 183A to 45 is best. Are there any times of the day that are better (ie - work 7-4pm instead)?

Just curious. I recently relocated to Gtown as a safety landing as i transititioned out of the Army, and I'm still learning/discovering Wilco.

183a to 45 wouldnt be bad at all. The cost would suck.

This. That drive should be easy, but it will cost you...

Not super worried about gas. It adds up to 1-1.5 tanks of gas/wk. I've got free tolls. Does that cover the costs?

Otherwise it sounds like it's not too bad.

Assuming you are just going to RR off of 45, you should be fine (30 minutes?). Eventually the toll road will be extended past 29 and then it will be easier.

You also have other options using I-35 on off-peak times.

Not that it probably matters, but LH probably does not have much dining, stores, etc, so you will end up driving into "town" for those things.

As others have said, the only real issue with living in LH, will probably be proximity to more than a few food places. Your other issue there will be groceries. I would guess the Leander HEB will be your closest option. The good news is that HEB owns land near Liberty Hill, so as more growth occurs, I believe, so will an HEB. But it may be a while.

Your commute will not be too bad on the tollways, and since you are a veteran and get to travel them for free, you should be in good shape there.

Get on 183 early, and traffic isn't bad at all. Not way up there.

Hopefully you get some wfh to make things easier. I'm remote now, but when I was going in, I had 2-4 days wfh, depending on what division I was in at the time.

With free tolls, 183A to 45 should make things pretty easy
