Going to a concert there next month and looking for the best, most convenient hotel. Or possibly maybe a hotel downtown that offers a free shuttle there for events?... just curious what the best option is.

Any place south of 183 and north of 71 between Mopac and Airport will be less than a $20 uber ride

There's a Double Tree within walking distance. It's close enough you could take a pedicab or walk and you wouldn't have to worry about being accosted by homeless.

The AT&T Conference Center on campus is pretty close. Its a nice hotel.

There is a Hampton Inn on Lavaca, close to campus.

Just had family stay at the Hampton on Lavaca and they said it was nice.

We stayed at The Element on 7th for PBR in August. A quick $5 Uber the the drum.
