I am wanting to get some video components installed in my car, where should I go in the greater Austin Area?

Thanks

While I can't answer your question I was coming to this board to ask for recommendations to get a car stereo installed.

I used these guys about 4-5 years ago. It's a bit ghetto, but they did a good job.

Most places seem fairly sketchy, but I have used ProCar Audio on Lamar/Braker for a basic head unit install on two older vehicles with no problems.

That place is right by the house and they are always packed which leads me to believe they ate reputable or running drugs. Either way, probably worth looking into.

Best Buy does installation, and you can always try DIY by ordering from Crutchfield (they also will refer you to installers).

I'll check with them, rumor has it they are rather expensive.

I've had mixed results. Local places have done ok work but then mysteriously, the vehicle was broken into within a month of install. Should have given fake address and name I guess.

I did have good luck recently having a new head unit, etc, installed in my daughter's car at Best Buy. Not what I expected from them, but presently surprised. I am thinking about getting a new head unit for my truck there and having them put it in.
