Any recommendations in Austin for TV repair? I have a 55" LG LED, about 4 years old. Picture flashes for a half second then goes dark.

I am in Northwest Hills. Prefer someone to come to the house vs. hauling it into a shop.

As cheap as those things run these days, if it's not under warranty, you'll probably save money and time by trashing it and buying a new one

It sucks because that's a great tv. But my experience with tv repairmen hasn't been good. My experience at Best Buy or even freaking Costco has been great.

Got a call back today... the guy is going to give me a repair estimate. I figure if $200 fix can buy me a few more years, I'll go for it. Otherwise, I'll consider buying a new TV.

Got an estimate of $220. Guy came by tonight and picked up my TV. Says he'll have it back no later than Friday morning. He seems pretty confident that he can get it back up and running.
