The plan is to get dinner someplace that's not super fancy but a good meal before going out. Probably grabbing some drinks on Rainey Street and then seeing where the night takes us. We're doing Franklin's on Friday so anything other than bbq would be fine.

Go to Eureka. Really cool gourmet burger place with a nice vibe. Been with several buddies and it's awesome.

Moonshine is right beside Rainey. Bangers is on Rainey. Both are good.

Also don't forget about Max's Wine Dive, PF Chang, Piranha Sushi, Mai thai and Gus's Fried Chicken on San Jacinto between 3rd and Cesar Chavez. Very close to Rainey.

I would go to some place in East Austin.... like the Salty Sow mentioned above. They have a nice outdoor patio where happy hour occurs. If you want some place cheap and less formal, I always like Home Slice Pizza.
