Howdy!

I'm moving to Austin this August to start working, and I'm also getting off my parents cellular family plan. I currently have Verizon but I wanted to see if y'all had any complaints/ recommendations about any carrier in Austin. Anything with great or crap service? Thanks

Sprint is cheap

Austin is an AT&T wireline area, and the wireless coverage is pretty good due to that.

Verizon is a bit pricey but my service around town is really solid.

We had Cricket in Austin. Same network as AT&T. No issues.

AT&T customer service sucks, they know it, and they don't care.

I've been with them for 15 years now.

I've had both and it's a coin flip. I'm thinking of moving to sprint

I currently have them both. AT&T for personal iPhone and Verizon for work iPhone. Both phones are 7s models - so the hardware is essentially the same.

My experience is that AT&T is better. Better call quality. Better data throughput. Better in buildings. It's just better. Which I found to be surprising, because I had always heard that Verizon was better.

Don't get Verizon if you live off 360, you'll constantly drop calls. Other than that it's great

Lived right on 360 with Verizon for over a year and can't say I ever noticed an issue. I also don't talk on the phone that much, but can't recall a dropped call.
