Anybody been? http://austin.eater.com/2016/2/18/11017956/vigilante-bar-board-games-austin

I just found out about this place -- it appears to be a board game store that serves beer...or a bar that has board games depending on how you look at it. Either way I'm intrigued.

Looks like they opened in the past week or 2 at N. Lamar and Airport.

been following them on FB for a long time. We still haven't been, but want to go. Looking forward to hearing feedback as well.

I've been once. Food was meh, service was excellent (especially for being so new), beer selection was decent. They have a huge game library you can rent from (like $5 a person) or you can bring your own (which we did). They have lights above you table to summon your server etc... pretty cool concept. I will be back.

Haven't been either of these places, but there's another place like that at 183/Burnet call Emerald Tavern

i don't believe emerald tavern is a bar. all those nerds go next door and drink at Slab. Never been in emerald tavern, but i see the gamers at the bar in slab.

Emerald Tavern definitely serves beer and wine, but I think the selection is pretty limited

ETA: Emerald Tavern is a board game store that also serves booze. You're right that it's not a bar.
