Bill Miller folks had bought the property well before the Portillos deal was announced. I don't believe it has anything to do with Bill Miller. Appears to be a Portillo s issue.

I never got the hot dog craze. Maybe once or twice in the big city late at night from some street vendor after 50 beers.
I don't think I've had one outside of a sporting event in a while. We're not talking about Slovacek Sausage dogs in a tortilla either. Those are a whole different ball game.
My kids like the dogs though. Not sure if the Korean corn dog craze is still going on. Never got that either.
And if you've watched enough of the hot dog eating contests, I don't know how you can eat another one.

For the most part, I agree. But, maybe 3-4 times a year I'll do them on the grill w/ some Wolf Brand, cheese, mustard and onions.
The thing about the Chicago Dog I'm guessing is the fact that Oscar Mayer started there. He also brought us packaged sliced bacon. Maybe the greatest gift to man ever.

There was a hot dog vendor in Rice Village in Houston that might have started a brick and mortar location somewhere.
They would set up in a parking lot on Friday and Saturday nights and the line would be 100 people long for hours. And that was with them cranking out the food.
