The Fitch to Wellborn to 2818 to 60 route is the best. I have taken numerous morning flights out of Easterwood and live near Towerpoint. Is your flight at 8:15am or will you be traveling at that time? For the former, you should be well ahead of school/commuter traffic if you plan on arriving at the airport about an hour before departure. If the latter (or if prefer to arrive shortly before boarding), this is prime travel time and you'll need to add in extra time to account for typical morning traffic.
10:20 flight. have always went Fitch, Wellborn, 2818, 60, but been some time ago. Hear horror stories of traffic that way now. thanks much

Sadly there is no extension of 47 to loop around Easterwood and connect to 40 (Fitch). It would be SOOooo much easier for those of us coming in from Hwy 21 and FM 60 if we weren't forced to choose between Wellborn Rd, Texas Ave or 2818 just to get to S College Station. Seems the east side of BCS is a priority.

For a 10:20 flight I wouldn't leave before 9:20. I hit the 8AM class traffic everyday going down 2818 from Rock Prairie to University and it's never taken more than 30 minutes.
ETA: Traffic around 9:20 is pretty light M,W,F because classes start at 910 and 1020.

You're going to have so much time it's not really going to matter. I rarely get to Easterwood more than 30-45 minutes early for a flight out.
You are correct in didn't take not near as long as last time I did Fitch, Wellborn,2818,60 few years ago , Left Costco area 8:25, delivered passengers to airport 8:50, No traffic anywhere. Way early, but we are all olds and would rather be way early than worry that might miss flight. Thanks to all for your comments.
