As much as we've tried to work through the disputes with a local property management company (guess who), it looks like we may need to just get some legal advice.
Are real estate attorneys best suited for this, and if so, does anyone have any local (BCS) recommendations?

Can't make a recommendation, but you need to go after or at least loop in the landlord. The ones that have gone this route have been successful.

Thank you. We tried to identify the property owner, but Brazos CAD only lists the property management company that we are in a dispute with. Wonder if there's another way to identify the owner.

They may own it. PM the address and I can look at the clerk's records.

Please let us know what it is when they do so we can post it anywhere and everywhere so unsuspecting renters can avoid these scumbags. Keep the spot light on these cock roaches.

Under new management? The same president and the state forced you to change the broker. Your wife runs out to get her broker's license. Not precisely "New Management."

It's possible they are the owners.

This link should let you see the documents showing the owners.

https://brazos.tx.publicsearch.us/

The search can bring up TONS of results.
To help follow the trail to the current owners it may be useful to use the CAD site's previous owners to find the property, then search grantors grantees to get to the current owner.

If it goes to court, I know I would enjoy holding a sign outside the courthouse with snarky comments about the other party's integrity.
